Up and running

CIPFEM is off to a great start with 10 new girls in our program, bringing the total to 20 bright young minds. We have been having weekly sessions every Saturday fron 9 to 10:00 am since July 28. CIEE students met with the parents, the young girls and the Senegalese volunteers Saturday September 15.

Mission Statement

CIPFEM is a non-profit organization seeking to help young Senegalese women stay in school, develop confidence, and expand their peer and support groups. CIPFEM fulfills these goals by providing a safe space where young women can be tutored by local and international volunteers, who will also provide workshops in the arts, athletics, and leadership development. Through these programs, our goal is to improve test scores so that more young women complete their education. By encouraging academic excellence, we hope to strengthen young women’s voices to be the leaders of tomorrow.
